Nora's Blue Sun
Rick Allen
During art time, Nora painted a blue sun.
Ben laughed. “The sun’s yellow, not blue!” Nora’s cheeks turned pink.
She wanted to throw her brush down. But Miss Tara knelt beside them. “Artists see the world in amazing ways,” she said gently.
Ben looked again. The blue sun made the paper feel cool and dreamy. “I like it,” he said, surprising himself.
Nora smiled widely and added silver stars and a cloud.
