✦ Privacy for families comes first
TinyTales Land is designed so children can enjoy stories, videos and activities while adults remain responsible for accounts, purchases and contact with our team. This policy explains what TinyTales LLC collects, why we use it and the choices available to families.
Membership, payment and contact features are intended for parents, guardians, teachers and other adults.
We aim to limit collection to information needed to provide, protect and improve TinyTales Land.
We do not knowingly use a child’s personal information to build advertising profiles or serve targeted advertisements.
Plain language summary. Children do not need their own TinyTales Land account. Adults create and manage memberships, submit contact forms and handle purchases. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
This Privacy Policy applies to the TinyTales Land website, membership areas, story and video libraries, downloadable activities, discussion resources, contact forms and other online services that link to this policy. TinyTales Land is operated by TinyTales LLC in Henderson, Nevada, United States.
This policy describes the information practices of TinyTales LLC. A third party website or service reached through a link may follow its own privacy policy.
When someone visits the site, our website platform and service providers may receive technical information needed to deliver and protect the service. This can include an IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, approximate region, referring page, pages viewed, dates and times, security events and cookie or similar identifiers.
If an adult chooses Google Sign In, Google may provide information permitted by that adult, such as name, email address, profile identifier and profile image. We use this information to create or authenticate the adult managed account. Google’s use of information is governed by its own privacy policy and the permissions shown during sign in.
TinyTales Land contains content created for children, including children under 13. We design account, membership, purchase and contact features for use by parents, legal guardians, teachers and other adults. Children should use the service with adult guidance and should not submit names, email addresses, photographs, voice recordings, location information or other personal details.
We do not knowingly ask a child under 13 to create an account or provide personal information. Technical identifiers may be processed when the service is delivered, secured or maintained. We aim to limit those identifiers to purposes reasonably necessary for internal operations and do not knowingly use them to profile children for targeted advertising.
If we learn that personal information was collected directly from a child under 13 without appropriate parental involvement or another lawful basis, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may request access, correction or deletion by contacting us.
Parents can learn more about children’s online privacy from the Federal Trade Commission’s Children’s Privacy resources.
Cookies and similar technologies are small files or identifiers used by websites and service providers. TinyTales Land may use the following categories.
Browser controls can block or delete cookies, although essential site features may stop working. Where a consent or privacy preference tool is shown, visitors can use it to manage available choices.
TinyTales LLC does not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly sell or share a child’s personal information for cross context behavioral advertising or use it to serve targeted advertisements to children.
Information may be disclosed to providers that help us operate the service. These can include website hosting and account services, authentication, payment processing, form delivery, security, analytics, file delivery and video hosting. Providers are permitted to process information for the services they perform for us, subject to their agreements and applicable law.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, enforce agreements or respond to a valid government request. Information may also transfer as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization or sale of business assets, subject to appropriate notice and legal protections.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing an active account or membership, responding to support, maintaining security, resolving disputes and meeting legal, tax or accounting requirements.
Retention periods vary by type of information. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we take steps to delete, anonymize or securely isolate it. If we learn that information was collected directly from a child in a way that should not have occurred, we will delete it as soon as reasonably practical after completing any necessary safety or legal review.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. These measures can include access controls, secure service providers, encrypted connections, account authentication, backups and monitoring.
No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Adults are responsible for protecting account credentials and should contact us promptly if they believe an account or message has been compromised.
Depending on where an adult visitor lives and whether a particular law applies to TinyTales LLC, they may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or a portable copy of personal information. They may also have rights to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising or profiling, to limit certain uses of sensitive information and to appeal a denied request.
We do not discriminate against a person for making a valid privacy request. We may need to verify identity and authority before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may ask for evidence of that authority.
Parents and guardians may also ask us to review or delete information they believe was provided by their child. Requests can be sent to Team@tinytalesllc.com or through our Contact page.
TinyTales Land uses a website platform to host pages, manage adult accounts and deliver forms. Adults may also choose Google Sign In. Payment service providers process membership payments. Some pages may link to or display videos hosted by YouTube or other media services.
These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Adults should review the privacy information shown by a provider before using its service. We encourage adults to supervise children when opening an external website or video platform.
The service is operated from the United States. Information may be processed in the United States or another country where a service provider operates. Privacy protections may differ between countries, although we use providers and safeguards intended to protect information appropriately.
We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required.
Contact us with questions about this policy, concerns about a child’s information or a request to exercise a privacy right.
