The Thankful Song

Mia clapped her hands as Mama sang, “Thank you for the sunshine, thank you for the trees!” 

Mia giggled. “Can I try?” 

Mama nodded, and Mia twirled around. 

“Thank you for my teddy bear. Thank you for my cheese!” she sang loudly, making Mama laugh. 

Mia added new things to her “thank you” song each morning. Her cat, her roller skates, her crayons, and even rainy days were included. 

One day, at the store, she burst into song: “Thank you for my apples and yummy treats!” The cashier chuckled. Mama smiled proudly. “Gratitude is music to the heart and soul.”
