Puck the Dancing Puck
Resilience
Illustration of Puck the Dancing Puck, a round animated hockey puck with a playful face and confident smile.

Before she danced, before she twirled, and before anyone knew her name, Puck was just a simple practice puck at the edge of a frozen schoolyard rink. Kids zipped past her, barely noticing the scuffed little circle lying in the snow.

But Puck had a dream: to move, to glide, to feel the wind from a perfect spin. Every day, she’d listen to the sound of laughter and skates cutting the ice, waiting… hoping… for her chance.

One day, Anthony Ant — tiny as ever — was benched beside the rink, watching tryouts for the local hockey team. Nobody picked him. Again.

But then something caught his eye: a glint, a shimmer, a bounce. The puck at the edge of the rink rolled — on its own.

Anthony crawled over and whispered, “Are you… alive?”

Puck twirled once. Then again. Then launched into a full 360 spin that landed perfectly between two orange cones.

Anthony gasped. “You’ve got moves! I’m Anthony. Want to be my partner?”

And just like that, a puck became a performer. A sidekick. A friend.

From that day on, Puck the Dancing Puck rolled with Anthony Ant — always ready to spin into action, laugh under pressure, and help kids bounce back with joy.
