I’m DR Rawson—Grandpa on Grandpa Tells TinyTales.

We began with books, then a website. Now, we’re bringing a full educational program to third-grade classrooms around the world—and it’s growing fast. Our goal? To put these stories into the hands of every third grader everywhere.

Names Are Important

Tara kicked at the dirt, annoyed. “That’s a dumb name,” he muttered when Tara introduced herself.
Tara’s eyes dropped, fingers tightening around her book. Their teacher overheard and knelt beside Leo.
“Do you know what Tara means?” she asked.
He shook his head. “It means ‘star’ in Sanskrit. Some people name their children after the heavens.” Leo’s face burned. He glanced at Tara. “I—uh, I didn’t mean…” She hesitated, then shrugged. “It’s okay.”
But it wasn’t. Leo took a breath. “Actually, that’s kinda cool.”
Tara smiled. Respect wasn’t just about silence—it was choosing words that lifted, not crushed.

Nine commercial spots are shown per episode. The cost is $750 per spot when presented on the show.
